Ryder, a US-based transportation management company, has a piece of software called RyderShare. It is used by both clients and internal employees to keep track of accounts, allow clients to manage their shipments, and set up clients’ systems.
The goals of the project were:
To deeply understand the user’s problem from an internal and external perspective.
Comprehend the current-state technology and design to the future with it all working together.
Update the look and feel to be more modern and user-friendly, and keep up-to-date on their brand standards.
Research included:
Customer interviews
Internal employee interviews
Internal onboarding
Personas
User journey maps
In our interviews, we discovered a vital issue: onboarding users into the system was archaic, arduous, and complex.
Modernized look and feel that provides clear and concise actions, such as the button that leads to a self-registration form
Updated UX to create a dashboard to jump into all the actions the user can do,
Company profiles allow the user to see immediate stats on new users and key actions that they might perform.
When performing these key actions, the focal point is directly on that tasks with clear buttons and information.
